There is a tremendous global need arising for authentic high quality Indian products and services, because of the resurgence of “indianness” or the soft power of India into the mainstream of international consciousness as opposed to a NICHE previously. The examples are numerous - be it YOGA 2.0 with a going back to classical yoga versus westernised yoga, Indian cinema, song and dance, weddings attracting western audiences. On the other hand there is a tremendous gap in the availability of Indian products and services such as in high quality Indian breathable and sustainable fabrics and lifestyle products that unite consistent quality with that of modern style, variety and international finish. This is the appeal for the new customers all over the world. Therefore, I am delighted that two wonderful humans, Gopika Malkan and her partner Karamveer Premnarayen have decided to launch Jooley, precisely to answer this need. Both of them are eminently qualified to take Jooley to the success it promises. Gopika with her highly successful fashion styling background, education and artistic sensibility and Karamveer's deep passion for indigenous cultures of India especially the Himalayas. I wish them the very best and can’t wait to buy their products for myself!

Gopika and I have been friends since we were in school, and the one thing that was always clear was not only her innate love for design but also her unique perspective and approach to fashion.
